Job Description

What You'll Do

The Financial Sales Analyst will provide clear insights and commercial analysis regarding volume trends, price realization, and margin performance to ensure business sustainability and profitability across all of Standex Electronic locations. Act as a partner with the sales, marketing, and business development departments to develop standard reporting and analysis to drive activities, strategy, and decisions.

  • Work closely with the sales team to develop forecasts and sales targets by customer, market, and sales team members.
  • Monitor and report progress against those targets.
  • Analyze and track price initiatives by site, cost center, and customer to identify areas of opportunity for price improvement as well as performance vs. target.
  • Responsible for calculating commissions for the sales team along with any supporting analysis as needed to monitor effectiveness.
  • Support Standex growth initiatives including total pipeline and funnel reporting along with tracking revenue for new product development and new business applications.
  • Work with all company functions to ensure products, business processes and service levels meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to provide data related to lead generation, quoting activity and other analysis as required.
  • Assist in developing standard work related to costing and quoting activities, forecasting, and sales reporting.
  • Partner with BI team to leverage PowerBI where applicable to create dashboards and tools for optimal visual data management.
  • Provide leadership in their respective area of responsibility by promoting a customer-based culture within Standex Electronics.
  • Perform other duties and oversees projects/assignments as directed by the FP&A Director.

What You'll Bring

  • A BS in a business discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years of financial analysis and/or sales operations experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills (with MS products, Excel, ERP, BI)
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a cross functional team setting.
